Women of Grace Dinner and Speaker
Mark your calendars for a special evening of fellowship and inspiration on Thursday, May 8, as we welcome the remarkable Rev. Julie Wright to speak at our Women of Grace Spring Dinner Meeting.
Julie brings a rich tapestry of life experience, ministry, and wisdom. She most recently served as Associate Minister at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, where she led 50 Plus and Homebound Ministries for a decade before retiring in 2024. Her earlier ministry roles at Roswell UMC and while completing seminary at Asbury Theological Seminary reflect her heart for adult spiritual formation and care.
Before hearing the call to ordained ministry, Julie earned a Journalism degree from Georgia State University and worked for Georgia Power for nine years. After stepping away to raise her three children, she became a devoted lay leader in her church—where her passion for ministry took root. In 2014, Julie was ordained as a United Methodist Deacon in full connection.
Today, she continues to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors for Respite Care Atlanta, and alongside her husband Tal (also a Georgia Power retiree), she enjoys the joy of five grandchildren.
Julie’s story is one of transformation, calling, and faithful service—we are honored to hear from her.
